Arturo R Alfonso
Arturo R Alfonso practices in the area of family law. He has worked on complex divorce cases, numerous stepparent and agency adoptions, child support and timesharing modifications, name changes and paternity cases. He has represented clients in child support cases filed by the Miami Dade child support enforcement office and in Broward filed by the Department of Revenue. He is a certified family law mediator having mediated several family law cases as well as a certified circuit court civil mediator.
Mr. Alfonso also practices in the areal of real estate law having represented several large lenders in residential real estate closing as well as private investors in private mortgage deals with homeowners. Mr. Alfonso has extensive experience in foreclosure and quiet title lawsuits, evictions, probate and guardianship cases.
Mr. Alfonso has written and lectured on divorce topics. He is a member of the Family Law section of the Florida Bar.
He earned his JD degree in 1990 from Nova University School of Law, his BS degree from University of Miami in 1987 (major in Biology and minor in Chemistry). At the University of Miami, Mr. Alfonso was a member of the premedical honor society. He is admitted to the Florida Bar and the United States District Court Southern District of Florida where he practices bankruptcy law as well.
Mr. Alfonso enjoys traveling and sports and being with his family.
